Ocean Torchbearer

Next year NASA’s crewed orbit mission will have an actual planned landing on the Moon. It has been 50 years since Artemis 1 mission, a successful moon landing and most everyone who knows this, feels 50 years has been too long. It’s about time for humans to successfully return to the 5th largest satellite in the Solar System.

To experience, to explore, to DISCOVER, it is what humans do and did that is why we are where we are now.  It is in our nature to go out and subject ourselves to actually feel the stories that was passed on to us and contribute what we can from what we uncovered on our own.

Star Trek is a reminder of that human spirit and the Artemis is the outcome from that inspiration. And although we can only be trekkies and supporters of spacemen, we can still be astronauts in the ocean.

To unravel the secrets of the Ocean wherein we barely even looked and is the final frontier on this planet.  At the end of last year and about the beginning of this year, a handful of people have been posting videos of the Caperea Marginata, the thought to be extinct Pygmy Right Whale up until 2012. A zillionth secret unraveled and with the onset of technology cemented the truth after the video of this baleen went on viral.

We need scuba diving Citizen Scientists if not Marine Biologists. Less than 5% of the underwater world has been explored and there are only 1% scuba divers in the planet. The need to expound on the 5% is now being addressed to even by the earliest Astronauts and NASA.
