Scuba Diving Hair Care

Hair Care, Tips for scuba divers

Wash your hair with fresh water before a Dive                                                              Dousing your hair with fresh water can block salt water on the cuticle.

Use Leave-in conditioner when diving
By applying a biodegradable leave-in conditioner to your hair, it will prevent salt water from damaging your hair and tangling your hair.

Attach a neoprene mask strap                                                                                              This ingenuous invention stops your hair from getting entangled and yanked out of your hair when you take it off. Neoprene Scuba Diving Snorkeling Mask Head Strap Cover Underwater has now fun designs to choose from.

Switch your snorkel keeper                                                                                                   Yes snorkel keepers can be changed to a simpler figure 8 snorkel keeper. If you know you are not going to take it off in a dive, you can use this instead of that complicated one with lots of notches that was engineered for easy detachment of your snorkel from your mask.

After dive hair care

After a dive, always rinse with deep conditioner and freshwater. Comb it out. Switch from regular brush to a wide-toothed one to patiently remove tangles, this will prevent damage to fragile salted hair.
